December 10: Wenna, Barbarella and Strummer all earned their second legs towards the AKC Rally Novice (RN) title at the Valley Hills Obedience Club show in Van Nuys, CA!

-----

November 27: London, Kiss, Covey, & Cartman attended two United Kennel Club (UKC) Conformation shows in Claremont, CA. The UKC is a different breed registry from the American Kennel Club (AKC), but they also put on conformation and performance events. However, the UKC isn't nearly as popular, especially in Southern California, as AKC.

Covey  won Best Male, Best of Winners, Best of Breed, and a Group II at the first show.

Cartman won Best Male at the second show.

London won Best Female at the first show and Best Female, Best of Winners, Best of Breed, and a Group I at the second show!

Kiss earned more non-competitive points.

To earn the UKC Champion (U-CH) title, a dog must win Best Male or Best Female three times under three different judges with competition and have a total of 100 points. Covey has 105 points with two Best Male awards, so he needs one more Best Male win to earn the U-CH. Cartman has  80 points with two Best Male awards, so he needs one more Best Male win and 20 points to earn the U-CH. London has 60 points with two Best Female awards, so she needs one more Best Female win and 40 points to earn the U-CH. Kiss has 40 points (none with competition).

Grandma Tara, at almost 13 years of age, earned 3 qualifying legs in the Rally Novice B class with scores of 96, 97, & 95 out of 100 for the 3 days. Not bad for an old girl!! This earned her the AKC Rally Novice (RN) title, so she is now officially known as:

UCI Int. SV CH, UCD, SR Meadowpond Star Crowned Tara CDX, RN, JH, WCX, VC, CGC (Am. ptd.)!!

Granddaughter Kiss also earned her AKC Rally Novice (RN) title with scores of 95, 98, & 94. So Kiss is now known as Star Crowned Kiss Me Deadly RN, CGC!

Cartman was shown in the Bred By Exhibitor conformation class and placed 2nd out of 2. Barbarella was entered in Novice B obedience all 3 days and came real close to qualifying. Hopefully, she'll get it all together soon! Strummer was just along to enjoy the trip.
