Own Religion...
Demelza belonged in a Shakespearean tragedy -
beautiful, wonderful, awesome, inspiring, but with one fatal flaw. She
survived five surgeries to remove blockages from her intestines, but the
damage was finally too much. This time, her obsession to chew and ingest led to
a perforated bowel and severe peritonitis. With a poor
prognosis and the certainty of a lot of pain, I made
the heart-wrenching decision to let her go peacefully. She was the first born
girl of my first litter and my best girl in so many ways.
Mellie, I love you and miss you tremendously. I will never forget you.
